Brass Rubbing Loan Service

If your group is unable to visit the Heritage Centre, we also offer a brass rubbing loan service so you can enjoy the activity at your own venue.
We can provide a selection of brass rubbing plates along with all the equipment needed to run your own session. This includes paper, crayons, and clear instructions explaining the brass rubbing technique, making it easy for teachers, group leaders, or facilitators to guide participants through the activity.
Our loan kits allow groups to explore this traditional heritage craft in a flexible way, whether in a classroom, community space, or at an event. Participants will still be able to create their own brass rubbing artwork while learning about the historical figures represented in the designs.

Memory Case

The Heritage Centre’s Memory Suitcase is designed to connect with people across the community through shared memories and storytelling. The suitcase can be collected from Droitwich Spa Heritage Centre and taken to care homes and local community groups, creating a relaxed and engaging reminiscence session for participants.
The suitcase is filled with a variety of items from the past, kindly donated by volunteers and members of the public. Objects such as vintage perfume bottles, toys, and familiar music help spark memories and conversations, encouraging participants to share their own stories and experiences.
These sessions are especially meaningful in care settings, including homes with dedicated memory care suites for people living with dementia. By exploring these objects together, residents can reconnect with memories, enjoy familiar sights and sounds, and take part in warm, shared discussions.
